What Is Reverse-Osmosis?
Reverse-osmosis is the process of purifying water by forcing water under pressure through a membrane filter that removes bacteria and other contaminants. Aquathin filtration systems are equipped with patented technology that cleans the membranes, which extends the life of these filters up to two years! Other systems on the market do not have this technology, meaning that filters for those systems will need to be changed more often, which will increase the cost of ownership of those systems. Aquathin reverse-osmosis filters also have a deionization stage to further remove other harmful particles that might make it through the first stage of filtration. What Is Deionization?
Deionization is a water filtration process that removes remaining dissolved salts from your water after it has passed through the reverse-osmosis filter. These include molecules containing sodium, calcium, iron, magnesium, chloride, sulfate, nitrate and flouride. This process gives users pure water to drink. Stand alone systems start at $1,350* plus applicable sales tax. This includes the filtration system, two gallon pressure tank and faucet. The unit is compact and can easily fit under most sinks. If you would like to connect a line to your refrigerator, we can do that as well for a reasonable fee. When purchased as part of a whole house system, you will save an additional $200* off the total cost!
